Balham Day Group Meeting

Tuesday 2nd May, 10-11:30am
Balham Library, 16 Ramsden Road, London SW12 8QY

I will be focussing on Brain Injury Awareness Week’s theme – A New Me. We will listen to a Podcast – the first in a series “Life after Brain Injury”. We will discuss what “A New Me” might mean to you.

We look forward to seeing as many of you who can make it!

Wimbledon Group Meeting

Tuesday 9th May, 7:30-9pm
Drake House, St Georges Road, Wimbledon, SW19 4ED

May’s Wimbledon meeting will be focused on yoga; the benefits and challenges after a brain injury.
An outside speaker Alex Jones who is a qualified Yoga instructor and Neurological OT has combined her skills and knowledge in both areas to provide bespoke classes to teach yoga to those following brain injury.

Croydon Group Meeting

Wednesday 17th May, 7:30-9pm
Harris Academy Purley, Kendra Hall Road, South Croydon CR2 6DT

An Evening of Music and Singing – Tony Hart and Mark Jiggins from QEF-Neuro-Rehabilitation Services will be taking requests and performing favourite songs. Join in as much or as little as you like.

The Balham group will be looking at the challenges of decision making. How to reach a good decision.
Please note: the group finishes at 11:30 – there will be no drop-in session this month

In our April meeting we will welcome a representative from the charity ‘Attend‘ who’s focus is to support people with brain injury back to work.

This month’s topic is Fatigue Management. This is an opportunity for you to discuss and share ideas and strategies for saving energy and avoiding the boom and bust cycle.

March group meetings

Balham Day Group Meeting

Tuesday 7th March, 10-11:30am, followed by a drop-in service until 1pm

Balham group will be informally discussing topical news events. Member are encouraged to bring along a newspaper article they found interesting that they wish to share. This can be serious or funny!

Wimbledon Group Meeting

The March Wimbledon meeting will be an Easter themed art session. We will have an art teacher attending to facilitate the activities. We hope to see many of you there.

Spring is around the corner so it’s time to get sowing and growing. Sow some flower and veg seeds to take home or donate to the Headway Allotment. Compost, pots and seeds will be provided.
