Wimbledon Village Fair 2010

Our 4th appearance at the Wimbledon Village Fair, and yet again it was a great success, the total collected this year being £575.00.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the Tombola stall, those people who collected prizes, those people who stuck on tickets or folded them and, last but not least, those people who came to help on the day.

Everyone had a fantastic day, the fair was bigger than ever this year and we had a great pitch, right outside the entrance to one of the big marquees. Our Headway banner clearly told the public who we were and we had a number of enquiries about our support groups from both health professionals and people who had a brain injury.

The highlights were:

  • Our new Gazebo was as easy as pie to put up
  • The ever threatening clouds didn’t deposit their rain and none of us got soaked!
  • We handed out lots of leaflets and spoke to lots of people raising our profile with the local community,
  • Trustees, Volunteers, Members, friends and family all had a lot of fun and had a chance to get to know each other better.
  • All the lucky winners took away some brilliant prizes and interesting books and we have raised £575.00 towards our costs for the next year.
