March group meetings

March’s Wimbledon meeting was about goals, and setting ourselves targets. We met for an evening of discussion and sharing of personal experiences. We discussed the SMART process of setting personal targets to ensure success. There were some interesting discussions about whether goals need to be realistic or whether they need to make you aim high and be ambitious. Everyone was able to involve themselves in the discussion and helped each other to set some detailed, specific and time defined goals. Some members of the group were able to discuss how they had achieved things in the past and some adjusted current goals they have set themselves, to be more detailed. Thank you all for coming and making this such an interactive evening! Let us know your goals by writing to HSWL on Facebook.

At the March Croydon meeting we had a lovely visit from Chris Patterson of the Croydon Carers’ Centre. We discussed the variety of useful services provided by the centre, including day trips and a discount card – which caught much attention! Again, we had a good show of people, many of whom were able to share experiences with Chris, who has first hand experience of caring for a loved one.
