September Carers Group Meeting

Wednesday 21st September, 13:30- 15.00
Martin Way Allotments, Martin Way, London SW20 9NT
Costs will be covered by Headway South West London

At our last meeting there was lots of talk about the allotment!  September’s meeting will therefore be a picnic at the allotment. It will be a great opportunity to meet others in similar situations, have something to eat and enjoy the allotment.  This is open to any carer, relative or friend of a person affected by a brain injury.  Please note that this group is specifically for carers only.

The allotment is between Wimbledon Chase and Raynes Park Station.  More details about the allotment can be seen on the Headway South West London website.

There is a marquee there so the weather shouldn’t be an issue, though there will be a plan B just in case!  I will supply food and snacks for everyone so please let me know if you have any special requirements.  If anyone would like to bring anything along please let me.  If you do plan to attend, please let us know so we know how many to cater for, though you are more than welcome to just come along on the day.

Fundraising Bike Ride

Support the Moore Blatch team in the “Richmond to Windsor” bike ride in aid of Headway South West London

The challenge is dawning on us very soon and we would be delighted if you could support our bike ride in aid of Headway South West London (HSWL) by making a donation via our charity choice page:

http://www.charitychoice.co.uk/fundraiser/moore-blatch/my-events

This bike ride aims to raise awareness and funds for the local brain injury charity, HSWL. Headway has worked for over 30 years to provide assistance, information and services to many of the 135,000 people who suffer a brain injury each year.

Our firm specialises in supporting individuals with brain injury, and we are entering a team into the Bike Events, London to Windsor Bike Ride Challenge to raise awareness and funds for HSWL.

There are three routes, ranging from 29 miles, 37 miles and 55 miles. The ride will commence at 9.30 am on Sunday 4 th September, starting at The Green in Richmond, TW9 1PL and finishes at Alexandra Gardens in Windsor, SL4 1QZ.

It is not too late to get involved and for those of you who wish to participate, please contact or email Julia Bell or Eman Hassan on 020 8332 8639.

Trevor Sterling, Moore Blatch, comments: “Brain injury is an area very close to our heart, so we are delighted to be raising funds for the South West London branch of Headway which provides support for people all over South and South West London, including areas such as Wimbledon, Richmond, Balham and Croydon.”
