Headway South West London are pleased to invite you to a quiz night on Wednesday 21 November, at the Bricklayer’s Arms in Putney
Our aim is to raise £3000 on the night to help brain injured people and their families and carers in South West London.
There will be fantastic raffle prizes on sale on the night and cash prize for the winning team! Included in the price of your ticket will be a free drink on arrival and nibbles/canapes.

Headway South West London are pleased to announce that the Sainsbury’s Local on Worple Road in Raynes Park have made Headway South West London their charity partner of the year.
Here store manager Simon explains a bit about the store’s hopes for the partnership:
“We chose HSWL as our charitypartner for the forthcoming year as they are a local charity supporting a cause we all believe in, and the aim is to celebrate and support HSWL by engaging our colleagues and customers into getting involved with raising awareness of HSWL and all its good work.
Over the course of the year we hope to raise funds through in store collection boxes and supporting in any additional activities HSWL may wish to carry out at the store.”
North Pole Marathon
First up was Becky Newman who bravely took on a North Pole Marathon for HSWL on 5 April. Becky completed the marathon – in temperatures of -30 degrees – in just 6 hours 11.minutes and 39 seconds and has so far raised more than £5000! Becky said: “Taking part in the North Pole marathon was one of the best adventures of my life, made even better by the thought that I was helping Headway SW London who do such amazing work. I was completely bowled over by the goodwill I received from the Putney community. I also met fantastic runners at the North Pole. We’re all planning doing The Great Wall of China marathon next year and it will be an honour to run for Headway again” . Headway South West London would like to say a massive thank you and congratulations to Becky. You can still donate.
Our second marathon success came from Headway South West London trustee, Rachel Allan, who completed the London Marathon on 22 April in aid of HSWL. Talking of her epic run, Rachel said “It was a hot and sunny morning which brought supporters out in their thousands to cheer us on. There was a great atmosphere but 26.2 miles is still a very very long way to have to run. Completing it in 4 hrs 50 is hardly record breaking, but I’m really proud of myself for completing it and I’ve raised around £1900 for Headway. It’s not too late to donate.”
