Introduction

Headway South West London

Every year, over 135 000 people in the UK have a brain injury.

Many people who have had a brain injury may experience ongoing physical, psychological and social difficulties which can be life-changing, not only for the person who has had the injury, but also for their family.

For over 30 years, Headway South West London (HSWL) has worked to provide assistance, support, information and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers in South West London. We aim to plug the gap in existing services for those with brain injuries.

We also aim to support professionals who work with those with a brain injury and work to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury.

We are an independent charity, affiliated to Headway UK, and one of over 100 Headway groups across the UK.
